Anglo-Indian portrait on ivory in glazed ebony easel-backed frame. This is posthumously based on idealised portraits of Mumtaz Mahal, as court painters would not have had access to the zenana, where the women lived. Delhi, circa 1830 - 1840. Frame height 15cm, width 10cm. Painted oval 6.3cm x 5cm
