The villagers of Mt Govardhan's Gokul incurred Indra's wrath bydoing asKrishna daid by giving thanks to the mountain rather than Indra for bringing rains. Indra's response was to send a deluge to drown them and their cattle, but Krishna raised the mountain on a single finger to provide them shelter.
