Illustration to a ragamala series: Kedar Ragini. Jaipur, circa 1840. Gouache silver and gold on wasli*. 21.7 x 17cm
(This is possibly Setmalar Ragini, though the musician in this would be playing tambur or flute and not a pungi.)
*wasli is made by gluing together sheets of paper with wheat-based glue, then polishing them by hand until they are shiny and smooth
