Each with a contemporary pencil inscription written below the artist's sketches in English desribing the scene, in this example "Nrisingha abatar 4th incarnation of Vishnu in this abatar he killed the Daitya Heranya Kashipu." ( Narasimha avatara, 4th incarnation of Vishnu. In this incarnation he killed Daitya Hiranyakashipu.)
